Job Title: Health Information Management (HIM) Director
Employment Type: Full-Time (Days – No Weekends)
Pay: $42.09 – $62.00 per hour

Job Overview:
FOCUSPOINT is seeking an experienced Health Information Management (HIM) Director for one of our healthcare clients in California. This on-site leadership role is best suited for a proactive and strategic HIM professional with recent experience in a high-volume hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day HIM operations and workflow management at the facility.

  • Assist in operational planning, service level monitoring, budgeting, and internal controls.

  • Support and manage staff performing tasks such as record retrieval, release of information, registry processing, and documentation requests.

  • Oversee and participate in resolving unbilled accounts and related reporting.

  • Lead implementation and support of CAC and other HIM technologies.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments and medical staff.

  • Monitor and manage electronic document queues and productivity performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (required)

  • RHIA or RHIT certification (required)

  • Minimum of 3 years of HIM Director-level experience in a large hospital setting (required)

  • Must have recent leadership experience in a 400+ bed facility

  • Strong knowledge of HIM systems and best practices
