Job description

An occupational health event assignment is available for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Atlanta, Georgia. This role focuses on conducting Human Performance Exams and clearance evaluations to assess functional capacity and determine fit-for-duty status.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Tuesday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Setting: On-site, clinical event setting

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Human PerformanceExams to evaluate functional movement and musculoskeletal stability
  • Assess lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling capabilities as part of clearance evaluations
  • Review range of motion, strength, and endurance to identify physical limitations
  • Conduct focused physical exams and health screenings, including vital signs and medical history review as needed
  • Document findings accurately and make timely fit-for-duty and clearance determinations

Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Experience in occupational health, urgent care, employee health, or pre-employment screenings
  • Ability to make clinical clearance decisions and assess functional capacity for job-specific tasks
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening environment
