About the role
Miebach Consulting is seeking a Head of Supply Chain Planning, North America, to lead the development and expansion of our Supply Chain Planning practice across the region. This strategic leadership role combines business development, client engagement, project sponsorship, and team development responsibilities to support the continued growth of our North American operations.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping Miebach's planning capabilities by leveraging global expertise, industry best practices, and innovative technologies to deliver impactful supply chain planning solutions for our clients. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced supply chain professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and client-focused environment.
Because of Miebach's global reach, you will work with leading organizations across multiple industries and collaborate closely with international Centers of Excellence and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the North American Supply Chain Planning practice, aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Establish and expand Miebach's Supply Chain Planning service offerings, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Leverage internal expertise, global Centers of Excellence, and industry-leading technologies to deliver innovative planning solutions.
  • Develop annual business plans, including financial forecasting, utilization planning, and growth targets.
  • Identify emerging market trends, technologies, and client needs to continuously evolve Miebach's planning capabilities.

Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Sponsor and lead large-scale supply chain planning engagements for North American clients.
  • Lead projects focused on S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, inventory optimization, and advanced planning systems.
  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to assess current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement business-driven solutions.
  • Drive alignment across operations, finance, procurement, manufacturing, and commercial functions to support integrated planning processes.
  • Ensure successful project execution through effective resource planning, timeline management, and quality oversight.

Business Development & Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and senior client stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering strategic insights and innovative planning solutions.
  • Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, supporting proposals and RFP responses, and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Partner with Miebach leadership teams across North America and globally to support strategic account development.
  • Represent Miebach at industry events, conferences, and business development activities.

Talent Development & Knowledge Management
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Supply Chain Planning consultants and specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain a structured knowledge base, training materials, and best practices related to supply chain planning.
  • Support the growth and career development of team members through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Planning, including S&OP, forecasting, inventory management, and advanced planning systems.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning processes, methodologies, and leading practices.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation or consulting projects in a client-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong business development experience with demonstrated success developing client relationships and growing accounts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with advanced planning software and digital planning technologies preferred.
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-40% based on client and project requirements across North America.
