Job description

S&B USA Concessions is a leader in the development, investment, construction, operation and financing of large scale infrastructure P3 projects globally. We're looking for highly motivated,  experienced Head of Development to join the Concessions team at S&B USA.

In this role the candidate will have the chance to play a meaningful role leading and facilitating the growth of the company's operations by identifying, developing and securing P3 transactions across the US market. The role requires strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and directing bid development activities for the pursuit of investment opportunities in the US P3 market.
  • Managing and coordinating the review and negotiation of investment related documentation such as concession agreements, design and construction contracts, financing documents, and shareholder agreements.
  • Facilitating internal project and investment proposals, coordinating investment approvals with risk and investment committees
  • Preparing board materials and internal presentations for legal and commercial activities
  • Liaising with clients, partners, financiers, and advisors in connection with active and future business opportunities.

Technical / Industry Knowledge:

  • Ten (10) or more years of substantial and relevant transactional experience in infrastructure, transportation, public procurement, and public and/or private finance matters.
  • Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics or Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of contracting models and financing structures and ability to navigate the legal and regulatory landscape governing US P3 Infrastructure projects from pre-procurement to financial close with an emphasis across roads, transit and rail, bridges and tunnels, and autonomous vehicles), airports, water, government facilities, transit-oriented and mixed-use development, universities, and renewables projects.
  • Demonstrating exceptional drafting, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills and the ability to successfully interact with clients and colleagues
  • Familiarity with all customary industry agreements (e.g., project agreements, construction agreements and credit support documentation)
  • Experience supporting, and administering corporate documentation and risk policies

Position Details:

This is a full-time position to be located in Pittsburgh, PA, or Washington DC.  The salary range is commensurate with experience.
