Mem0

Job description

About Mem0
We're building the memory layer for AI agents. Think long-term memory that enables AI to remember conversations, learn from interactions, and build context over time. We're already powering millions of AI interactions for enterprise customers and an open-source community of 150,000+ developers. We're a Y Combinator-backed company that has raised a $24M Seed + Series A from top-tier investors.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in San Francisco, CA. You'll work closely with a highly technical team in person, where rapid collaboration and fast iteration are part of our culture.
This position reports directly to the co-founder leading Growth & Community, with close day-to-day partnership with Engineering and Product.
Role Summary
Own developer experience and community growth for Mem0's open-source project and API platform. You'll be the primary voice between Mem0 and the 150,000+ developers already using our open-source memory layer, creating the content, code, and relationships that turn curious developers into engaged users and advocates.
What You'll Do
  • Create technical content: tutorials, sample apps, blog posts, and docs that get developers from signup to production fast.
  • Grow and nurture the open-source community across GitHub, Discord, and forums; triage issues and PRs, and spotlight community contributions.
  • Represent Mem0 externally at conferences, meetups, and hackathons, including giving talks and running workshops.
  • Build and maintain integration guides and quickstarts across popular frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, and others).
  • Gather developer feedback and feed it directly into the product and research roadmap.
  • Partner with Product and Marketing to plan launches, changelogs, and community campaigns.

What you will bring
  • 4+ years in developer relations, developer marketing, or a hands-on software engineering role with strong communication skills.
  • Able to write and ship code: comfortable building demos and sample apps in Python and/or JS/TS.
  • A track record of creating technical content (blog posts, docs, videos, talks) that developers actually use.
  • Experience engaging with open-source communities (GitHub issues/PRs, Discord, forums).
  • Comfortable being the public face of the company: on stage, on camera, and in writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, or memory/retrieval systems.
  • An existing following or credibility in the AI/ML developer community.
  • Experience running or growing a Discord/Slack developer community.
  • Video editing or livestreaming experience.

Our Culture
  • Office-first collaboration
We're an in-person team based in San Francisco. Hallway conversations, whiteboard sessions, and spontaneous collaboration help us move faster and build better products than remote meetings alone.
  • Velocity with craftsmanship
We move quickly without sacrificing engineering excellence. Every system we build should be fast, reliable, scalable, and thoughtfully designed.
  • Extreme ownership
Everyone at Mem0 is a builder-owner. If you see a problem or opportunity, you're empowered to solve it. Titles matter less than impact.
  • High bar, high trust
We hire exceptional people, give them autonomy, and hold ourselves to a high engineering standard. We challenge ideas, review code thoughtfully, and celebrate wins together.
  • Data-driven, not ego-driven
The best ideas win regardless of where they come from. We rely on data, customer feedback, and thoughtful experimentation to guide decisions.

Benefits & Perks
  • Health, dental & vision coverage - Comprehensive plans, fully covered for you (and subsidized for dependents)
  • Lunch & dinner, on us - Daily meals catered in-office, because good food fuels good work
  • Flexible PTO - Take the time you need to recharge, no rigid accrual counting
  • Equity in an early-stage company - Real ownership in what you're building, not just a paycheck
  • Regular team happy hours & events - Built into the culture, not an afterthought
  • Top-tier equipment - The laptop and setup you need to do your best work
