JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Head Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Coach as they compete competitively in NCAA Division III athletics while providing an educational environment that enhances the development of the whole student-athlete. Assist the Aquatics Director in all areas of the WPI aquatics facility. Additional responsibilities include teaching courses in physical education as well as departmental administrative responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist the head coach in providing leadership and direction for the Swimming & Diving programs (men's and women's).

Create a culture of compliance with NCAA rules and regulations, as well as NEWMAC and WPI university policies and procedures.

Assist in developing team and individual strategies to create an environment of success through effective teaching of technical and fundamental skills in swimming and diving.

Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes committed to academic and athletic excellence.

Establish ways to ensure success for all team members academically, athletically, and socially.

Assist in maintaining a strong connection with the Swimming & Diving alumni group through communication and relationship development.

Assist with managing the program's operating and fundraising budgets.

Teach physical education courses.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree

Certified Pool Operator

1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience

Salary Grade 4: $44,200- $46,189 per year (depending on experience)

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
