Job description

Position Title:
Assistant Diving Coach
Job Description:
The Head Diving Coach is an administrative position, directly reporting to the Head Swimming and Diving Coach and works with the Department of Athletics personnel. This individual will assist in overseeing all non-tuition revenue as it relates to the university athletic department. The Head Diving Coach is responsible for coaching, recruitment, and retention of Men's and Women's Diving for the University. This individual must be results-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic, liberal arts mission of Mount St. Mary's University .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
  • Maintain a minimum dive roster of 4 athletes
  • On deck coaching, meet preparation, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate schedule and transportation at 3M practice facility
  • Assist in recruitment events and coordination of campus visits
  • Fundraising and alumni events
  • Assist in coordinating team travel.
  • Compile and submit team CARA hours weekly.
  • Overall administration of a Division I swimming program in accordance with institutional, NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
  • Obtain and maintain the following certifications
    • Frederick County Pool Operator
    • Lifeguarding
    • CPR and First Aid

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate diving experience desired. Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary/Hours/Benefits
  • $15,000 Salary, 12-month contract
  • Part Time
  • Tuition Remission Benefits.

Full Time/Part Time:
Part time
