Job Summary

The Assistant Diving Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Swimming/Diving Coach with all aspects of a competitive Missouri Valley Conference Women's Swimming/Diving program. The Assistant Diving Coach will functionally be the Head Diving Coach for the program and not only assist with coaching specific diving skills but also assist with all phases of the recruitment of highly skilled prospective student-athletes from identification and evaluation through signing them to athletics scholarships, etc. The Assistant Diving Coach is responsible for conducting all of their duties and activities with integrity and within NCAA rules, Missouri Valley Conference rules, Illinois State University, and the Athletics Department regulations.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$40,000 - $44,000

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree
2. Experience as a successful diving coach, including the ability to teach/coach advanced skills in the sport of diving.
3. Demonstrated ability to recruit talented high school and transfer student-athletes
4. Proven organizational, leadership ability, and both oral and written communication skills
5. Strong commitment to academic goals and student-athlete welfare
6. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules governing eligibility, financial aid, and recruiting.
7. CPR/AED and First Aid certified (or eligible for certification upon employment)
8. Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree
2. One to two years of collegiate and/or club swimming coaching experience (graduate assistant level coaching is accepted).
