Job description

TYPE OF WORK:                            Math Teacher

LOCATION OF WORK:                 Marlowe Middle School 

STARTING DATE:                          2026 / 2027 School Year

WORK HOURS:                              10 Months / Full-Time

RANGE OF PAY:                             HEA Salary Schedule. Based on education and experience

BENEFITS:                                      HEA, TRS, Voluntary Retirement, Insurance

CLASSIFICATION:                        HEA

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:  Teaches students academic, social, and motor skills following guidelines set by State of Illinois law and board policy.  The successful applicant will implement approved curriculum while utilizing various instructional strategies to meet student needs in the classroom. Collect and analyze data to then be used to make instructional decisions. Implement effective classroom management strategies in accordance with district policies. Collaborate with various staff members to ensure student needs are being met. Our teachers effectively communicate with parents on a regular basis and most importantly, create a positive learning environment. 

 SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with appropriate Middle and Secondary math endorsement required. Must have patience and flexibility when working with students. Ideal applicant will have the ability to communicate with a variety of students and staff in a fast-paced environment.
