    Job description

    Cole Manor, part of UPMC Senior Communities, is hiring a full time Personal Care Home Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations. We are seeking an individual to provide guidance to staff, ensure fiscal responsibility and overall quality of resident care.
    Responsibilities:
    • Maintains records, files and data necessary to meet all requirements for licensure of the facility. Perform regular audits of records to ensure current compliance. Operate facility and monitor care delivered within state regulations.
    • Oversees resident safety, including but not limited to chair of Safety Committee, incident management, research of best practices for resident safety and coordination of safety utilizing resources for safety management.
    • Provides support services to residents such as counseling, transitioning support, understanding medical concerns, etc. Coordinates professional assistance when situations warrant more serious interventions.
    • Approves all expenses, maintains an annual budget, and assumes responsibility for petty cash and resident funds.
    • Develops an annual training schedule to meet the developmental needs of the staff; as well as meeting the regulatory requirements for staff training, conducting this training personally, as appropriate.
    • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all public governing entities including, but not limited to, the Department of Public Welfare, OSHA, Office of Aging, Bureau of Equal Opportunity, Veterans Administration and local codes officials.
    • Monitors the conditions of each resident to ensure the care provided is appropriate. Facilitates a transfer to a higher level of care, as necessary, after consultation with the resident's personal medical professional.
    • Responsible for marketing and public relations for the facility.
    • Develops meaningful activities programs for residents.

    Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in Human Services or Administration required.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Experience in health care or long term care and two years of supervisory experience required.
      Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
      Licensure from The Department of Public Welfare as a Personal Care Home Administrator required within 3 months of hire.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Act 34
    • OAPSA
