Job Description

The Production Management Consultant will identify and implement solutions to optimize operating efficiency of production systems and processes. Manage and execute scheduled events in the production environment such as disaster recovery testing, platform upgrades, Audit/compliance/regulatory requests, system enhancements and fixes.ย 

Functional Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying and implementing operating efficiency solutions for specific domains.ย 

Responsible for day-to-day production management activities including the investigation and resolution of incidents, problems, service requests and working assigned queues - works independently.ย 

Performs break-fix coding and/or scripting and maintains records to document break-fix code changes.ย 

Communicates incidents, problems and escalations to internal and external partners.ย 

May manage work queues for appropriate action.ย 

Gathers and analyzes metrics around performance and cost.ย 

Documents internal processes and procedures.ย 

Ensures all nightly production batch trails are completed on time based on Service Level Agreements commitments.ย 

Responsible for prioritization of problems, incidents and service requests, leveraging their business understanding.ย 

Responsible for change management, release management and Audit/compliance/regulatory activities.ย 

Leverage extensive technical and/or business knowledge of multiple areas (technical, business, applications, etc.) in support of production management activities.ย 

Advises Applications Development teams on how to build and enhance applications to maximize operational efficiency and ensure application stability.ย 

Acts as an acknowledged resource for less experienced staff and to assist colleagues on other teams.ย 

Interacts with vendor consultants to identify and implement solutions for optimizing operating efficiency of production systems and processes.

Provide discretionary project assistance which may entail analysis, design, coding and development, end to end testing, deployment and post deployment support.

Facilitate meetings and work with other IT, vendor and business partners during a Problem Investigation and Root Cause analysis.ย 

Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May guide the work of more junior staff.



Qualifications

Required Experience:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required

4-7years PeopleSoft HCMS 9.1 and related experience

4-7 Years SQR, SQL, People Tools (which includes but not limited to, App Designer, App Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, etc)

3 Years Corporate Systems & Planning


Preferred Experience:ย 

Strong functional and technical knowledge in the Enterprise Learning Management/LMS module of PeopleSoft

ITIL Certification

MS Office; Intermediate skill level with Word, Excel & Power Point

Prior lead role or project management experience
