Job Description
In this full-time position, the qualified candidate will:
  • Develop Java-based HCL Commerce applications and extended sites following software design methodology standards.
  • Involved in full project lifecycle including requirement analysis, developing technical approach documentation, providing SME support to the project management team and other third party development teams, developing detailed technical design documentation, integrating with third-party and back-end software and systems, implementing solutions using the standard HCL Commerce extensions framework, coordinating the testing efforts on the end solution.
  • Use HCL Commerce and HCL Commerce Developer software to develop quality solutions that meet business requirements and technical design specifications.
  • Develop reusable components and services that address the client requirements or BlueSky CodeBlue requirements.​
  • Work with Business Analysts to understand business requirements. Develop reusable components and services that address the requirements discovered.
  • Design and implement the migration process for catalog and customer data during a platform or version migration.
  • Design and implement continuous-integration (CI) for on-going data and process flows for order information, catalog and customer data updates, and scheduled deployments of code and managed content.
  • Design and implement advanced caching and data-cache and SQL tuning as part of performance optimization.
  • Support developers in configuration of development environments and deployment of application builds.
  • Assist the Architects in providing estimates to assist project managers in building Work Packages and Work Breakdown Structures.
 
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will demonstrate advanced technical and functional knowledge of HCL Commerce.​  Additional qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • At least 3-5​ years experience with J2EE and the HCL Commerce suite of products including Solr, Liberty, WebSphere Application Server, and DB2.​
  • Experience with EJBs, JSPs, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, JPA, and JSTL.​
  • Experience with XML and Web Services.​
  • Experience with the Struts and Spring Application Frameworks.​
  • Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and Dojo.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Object Oriented Design.​
  • Experience with Relational databases and advanced SQL
  • Experience with J2EE IDEs Eclipse and/or HCL and/or WebSphere Commerce Developer.​
  • Experience with code management tools including SVN and Git.​
  • Experience with database design and development including stored procedures, triggers, packages.​
  • Experience with messaging oriented middleware including JMS and IBM MQ.​
  • Support performance tuning of customer's HCL Commerce environments including IHS, WAS, DB2 or Oracle.​
  • Expertise with unit, system, and integration testing.​
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.​
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in support of client facing consulting.​
  • Ability to generate technical specifications including application design, database design, and ongoing change requests.​
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.​
  • HCL and/or WebSphere Commerce Certifications are preferred.
