Job description

Position Summary:

The Distribution Supervisor manages Distribution Technicians across assigned hospital locations, ensuring efficient linen distribution operations, customer service excellence, regulatory compliance, staff training, inventory control, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Distribution Technicians responsible for HCL cart and linen delivery systems within assigned hospitals.
  • Train new Distribution Technicians on facility-specific linen routes and Linen Helper software.
  • Respond to and resolve customer service concerns within assigned hospitals.
  • Ensure team compliance with productivity standards, HCL policies, and hospital safety requirements.
  • Monitor linen inventory levels, par levels, and quality control processes.
  • Perform Distribution Technician duties during employee absences, call-outs, and vacations.
  • Conduct routine rounds throughout assigned hospitals to verify compliance with HCL procedures and maintain positive relationships with hospital unit managers and staff.
  • Complete accurate data entry and maintain daily call logs as required.
  • Adhere to HCL attendance standards and policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year of management experience in a medical or related environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:
    • Outlook
    • Excel
    • Word


Physical Requirements:

The position requires significant physical activity and the ability to perform tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. (floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and above shoulder)
  • Pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Pulling rolling carts up to 250 lbs.
