Scope of Position
This highly motivated individual, as part of the sales team will be responsible for developing and executing strategies driving specification share gains and growth with engineering and architectural firms in the United States. In addition to these responsibilities this position will work with Design Build Contractors, EPC Firms, Facility Managers and End Users to drive the sales process through guided strategy.
This position reports to the Director of National Accounts - Plumbing Division. This role is a remote position and is based in the Midwest or Northeast Region of the United States.
Accountabilities
  • Create direct relationships with key architectural, engineering, EPC firms, design build firms, mechanical contractors, facility managers, and end users
  • Drive both Haws Hydration and Emergency Equipment specifications
  • Conduct lunch and learns with key specifiers and designers
  • Conduct Haws branded webinars to the field

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for leading business development within the Haws Sales Organization business model to key and strategic architectural firms, engineering firms, EPC firms, design build firms, mechanical contractors, facility managers, and end users
  • Leverage existing customer and partner relationships to increase revenue potential and expansion into new markets and customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Haws product/service offering, strategy, position in the marketplace, and competitive advantage. Develop and track pipeline management utilizing the Haws CRM system.
  • Work with the Haws Sales Team to develop a key contract/pipeline database focused on the strategic targets within the NA Sales Organization.
  • Coordinate key vertical management while supporting the independent representative sales team in conjunction with the Regional Directors.
  • When appropriate serve as a liaison to determine distribution alignment with Regional Director input.
  • Analyze initial Request for Proposals (RFPs), produce high level dialogue/summary and provide an overview in the capture and proposal requirements. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Directors based on competitive and market conditions
  • Review and approve strategic bids and navigate the customer's procurement process
  • Prepare and deliver strategic customer presentations
  • Operate at or below the expense budget
  • Work cross-functionally with these Haws departments: Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering
  • Assure market intelligence is received and analyzed so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur and effects of competitive activity may be minimized
  • Be a change agent in introducing solution selling for the "end user" (customer) community; be the catalyst in identifying new product offering services that are compelling to customers, reduce their costs and provide a broader base of business with greater margins for Haws Corporation (out of box/creative thinking)
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Director of National Accounts - Plumbing Division or Company management.
  • All responsibilities shall be tied directly to Watts Values (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
  • Travel Requirements: 50-60%

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field or experience
  • Minimum of 9 years of related work experience is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and computer skills
  • Strong sales skills, including motivation for sales, prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to customer needs, territory management, market knowledge, high energy level, meeting sales goals, closing sales, and professional demeanor
  • Strong background in strategic sales planning and methodologies
  • Financial acumen in understanding operations, sales, engineering, and developing proposals
  • Experience in dealing with longer sales cycles (6-36 months)
  • Solution based selling experience with the understanding on how to align and become a strategic solutions partner
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete a background check and required pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Plumbing & Commercial work experience.
  • Experience calling on plumbing engineers, design build firms, EPC firms, mechanical contractors, facility managers and end users.
  • Active in the ASPE, PHCC, MCA and any other applicable industry organizations.
  • Ability to handle job site visits.
  • Experience in promoting company branding on approved social media platforms.
