Scope of Position
As part of the shipping team, this highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude is responsible for properly handling and storing finished goods. This role prepares products for carrier pickup by picking, packing, and staging shipments, and audits and processes shipments accurately and efficiently to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
This position reports to Shipping/Logistics Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Sparks, NV.
Accountabilities:
  • Follow safety guidelines to support a safe working environment
  • Follow 5S guidelines to promote an organized and efficient work area
  • Provide support to co-workers to ensure workload is complete accurately and efficiently

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares shipments by utilizing techniques such as small parcel packaging, bulk packaging, palletizing, crated products, and dedicated containers
  • Uses Warehouse App. to pick, pack and stage products for shipment
  • Verifies type, model, configuration, revision and quantity per shipment
  • Manifests written or electronic documents for shipment processing
  • Processes small parcel shipments through TMS system
  • Verifies type and amount of product to be received from production and stocked in the Finished Goods Warehouse
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bin locations
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or by use of forklift
  • Down stocks and maintains organization in the Finished Goods Warehouse
  • Uses Warehouse app. to pick Finished Goods product from correct location
  • Must have basic knowledge of dimensions and weight recording
  • Follows the rules of basic safety, shipping procedures and 5S program
  • Able to use computers, electronic devices, and window-based programs
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Shipping/Logistics Supervisor
  • Demonstrates accountability, honesty, and a strong commitment to teamwork

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years prior shipping experience
  • Ability to safely operate industrial lifting equipment and perform preventative maintenance checks and services
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Working Conditions

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls to perform functions and job duties
  • Occasionally required to obtain or move objects above head
  • Must be able to hear approaching equipment, vehicle horn and/or warning device with assistance if needed
  • Regularly grasp and retrieve objects and items needed to perform job
  • Frequently ascends or descends, works atop equipment, moves around objects to perform job duties
