Job description

Description
Harbor Health
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to join our innovative healthcare team in Austin or San Antonio and help lead new models for neurological care. At Harbor Health, we're transforming healthcare in Texas. We're seeking passionate individuals to help us create an entirely new health system that connects anticipatory comprehensive care with an aligned payment model. In this role, you will provide general neurology care while collaborating with our primary care providers to deliver integrated, value-based care to our members. This position offers the opportunity to help re-envision how neurological care can be delivered across our payvider framework utilizing team-based models and technologies in addition to traditional visits.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide general neurological care and consultation to Harbor Health members, primarily in the ambulatory setting, delivering care across in-person, virtual, and telephone visit modalities.
  • Act as the clinical lead in designing and iteratively refining care pathways and order sets within our AI system, the EHR (Athena), and other integrated platforms to ensure standardized, evidence-based care for neurological disease and condition management.
  • Collaborate with the care team to deliver integrated, team-based care.
  • Provide Clinician-to-Clinician (C2C) e-consultation to streamline care for issues that do not require an in-person assessment.
  • Engage in population health management to ensure appropriate screening for and treatment of neurological conditions across the Harbor Health member population.
  • Provide oversight for specialty aligned APPs in all Harbor markets to extend neurological service capacity.
  • Directly own clinical success metrics (KPIs) such as ER diversion, time-to-first-appointment, and Total Cost of Care (TCOC) reduction for neurological conditions, and present these outcomes to leadership to demonstrate medical cost offset.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required
  • MD or DO, along with successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program
  • Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Active Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas
  • Commitment to team-based, value-based care and population health management
  • Comfort with digital health tools and electronic medical record systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across care teams

Preferred
  • Experience with value-based care model and/or population health management
  • Interest in innovative healthcare delivery models
  • Experience in an ambulatory, multi-specialty, or integrated care setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with experience in C2C or e-consultation models
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

WHAT WE OFFER
  • A mission-driven and highly innovative work environment
  • Competitive salary and incentives
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Investment Plan
  • Company Equity
  • CME Allowance and time off
  • Occurrence-based malpractice
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • A transparent and unique culture

COMPANY OVERVIEW
At Harbor Health, we're transforming healthcare in Texas through collaboration and innovation. We're seeking passionate individuals to help us create a member-centered experience that connects comprehensive care with a modern payment model. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment where your contributions are valued, please bring your talents to our team!
