As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for patients experiencing mental health challenges.
• Creating consultation reports for pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment plans based on patients' specific needs.
• Completing necessary documentation in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools to effectively measure patient progress and inform treatment strategies.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Actively engaging in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the highest quality of care.
• Serving as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate service delivery and enhance patient outcomes.
• Promoting a culture of open communication within the community and among stakeholders to further the mission of the organization.
• Building and maintaining relationships with various agencies to promote programs and identify funding sources for sustainability.
• Pursuing professional growth through continued education, workshops, and state-wide networking opportunities.
• Integrating the organization’s mission, values, and principles in all aspects of your work.
• Performing other similar duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to achieve departmental goals.

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with diverse mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma-related issues. By applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques, you will play a vital role in facilitating their pathways to recovery and improving their emotional wellness.

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• Current and independent LMHC License in the state of Kansas is mandatory. If you hold an LMHC license from another state, we will assist you with the licensure process in Kansas, including covering related fees.

While not required, the following qualifications will enhance a candidate's application:

• Experience in outpatient settings working with a diverse patient population.
• Knowledge of or familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or public mental health initiatives.
