Job description

Hanover Foods is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Freezer team as Heavy Laborers on First Shift. This position is responsible for performing a variety of general production and material handling tasks that help keep our manufacturing operation running efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Perform general production labor, including strapping finished products, stacking pallets, tote assembly and tear-down, and product dumping.
  • Inspect products for foreign materials and product quality.
  • Dump totes, close boxes, and assist with production line operations as directed.
  • Ensure work is completed according to production and quality standards.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Report equipment or safety concerns promptly to your supervisor or leadperson.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support production operations.

Required
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to accurately record information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including refrigerated areas when needed.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Commitment to working safely.

Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, food production, or general labor experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include refrigerated areas and elevated noise levels.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
