Crown Center, one of the nation's first mixed-use redevelopments, is an 85-acre complex that welcomes more than five million visitors each year. A subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Crown Center is a 'city within a city' - combining hotel, office, retail, residential and entertainment land uses within its boundaries.

What your role entails and how you'll contribute.

At Halls Kansas City, the part-time Style Expert is instrumental in creating the best customer experience Halls can offer. By demonstrating a thorough knowledge of store merchandise as well as current fashion trends, the Style Expert guides customers in expressing their individual tastes, style and personality.

All Halls employees are responsible for protecting company assets by following established policies and procedures.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

A Style Expert owns each customer experience from beginning to end by accurately preparing and ringing sales, packaging carry out merchandise appropriately, placing special orders, facilitating the gift wrap and shipping processes as needed, and following up on all merchandise requiring special handling for the respective department.

This position also assists in maintaining the function and visual presentation of the sales floor by dusting and straightening displays, restocking merchandise as needed, and replenishing cash wrap supplies such as bags, tissue paper and receipt paper.

  • This job requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, talking, listening, reaching, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 30 pounds and pulling/pushing carts.
  • Achieve monthly targets. Drive business through establishing customer relationships.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality is required.

This is a part-time regular Style Expert position that will require working 20-25 hours a week.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    The following is required to be considered for this role:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • At least six months of sales experience in a department store setting, or six months professional customer contact (i.e., public relations, customer service, high volume receptionist)
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This position is located at the Halls KC retail department store located at the Crown Center Shops.

    • This position is paid hourly and eligible for commission pay.
    • The part-time regular Style Expert position will require working 20-25 hours a week.
    • Basic store hours are Mon-Sat 10am - 6pm; Sun 12pm - 5pm
    • Fall hours are Mon-Wed, Sat 10am - 6pm; Thu-Fri 10am-7pm; Sun 12pm - 5pm
    • Holiday hours for 2024 are Mon-Thu, 10am - 7pm; Fri-Sat 10am-8pm; Sun 12pm - 6pm.
    • Relocation will not be provided

    Hours for the Part-time Style Experts will vary within these timeframes, and includes holidays, weekends, and evenings
