Job description

Hairston's Services Heating and Air Conditioning is a growing HVAC company serving residential and commercial customers throughout the Columbus area. Due to continued growth and new contract opportunities, we are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team as an Independent Contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys flexibility, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential and commercial HVAC systems

• Perform HVAC installations, replacements, and equipment upgrades

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and system performance issues

• Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections

• Complete service calls independently and professionally

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings and recommendations

• Maintain accurate service documentation

• Follow company safety standards and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of HVAC experience preferred

• EPA Certification preferred

• NATE Certification or additional HVAC certifications are a plus

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Installation experience preferred

• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills

• Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to lift HVAC equipment and work in various weather conditions

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
