Job description

Overview:

At Air Methods, our people systems support the employees who make our critical care mission possible. The HRIS Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing the technology platforms that support our workforce, including HR, payroll, timekeeping, recruiting, learning, and performance management systems.

This position serves as a technical subject matter expert responsible for system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, testing, and ongoing support of our HR technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings strong UKG Pro and Workforce Management experience, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and operational teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

This position is based in Denver, Colorado and operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring regular in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Provides HRIS support for new implementations, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, and ongoing system administration. Participates in project management activities including discovery, design, configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, communication planning, and end-user training support.

• Develops and maintains documentation for system configurations, processes, testing plans, and implementation activities.

• Serves as a system administrator for assigned HR systems, including management of system security, user access, and quarterly SOX user access reviews.

• Generates standard and ad hoc reports utilizing tools such as Cognos, Excel, UKG reporting solutions, and other SaaS reporting platforms.

• Troubleshoots system, reporting, interface, integration, and connectivity issues across internal and external platforms. Identifies root causes and partners with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

• Collaborates with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, operational leaders, and external vendors to support system enhancements, configuration changes, upgrades, and new implementations.

• Leads and participates in system configuration meetings and provides project coordination and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Reviews system data and reporting outputs for accuracy and completeness. Maintains data integrity through routine audits, analysis, validation, and issue resolution.

• Supports recruiting, learning management, payroll, workforce management, and other HR technology platforms as assigned.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Regular scheduled attendance.

Hybrid work arrangement requiring regular in-office presence in the Denver, Colorado area.

• Travel: Less than 5%.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and 3 to 5 years of Human Resources systems experience; or
  • At least 5 to 8 years of combined experience in HRIS administration, system configuration, payroll, compensation, benefits, timekeeping, reporting, or related HR technology support.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on UKG Pro experience required.
  • Experience with UKG Workforce Management, formerly Dimensions Time and Attendance, required.
  • Experience supporting HR technology platforms in a complex, multi-system environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with iCIMS Applicant Tracking System strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a system administrator for HR technology platforms, including configuration, security administration, user access management, and system maintenance.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to research, identify, and resolve system, data, reporting, interface, and integration issues.
  • Demonstrated data analytics and reporting capabilities, including the ability to review data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain data integrity.
  • Ability to design, execute, and document testing strategies for system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, new functionality, upgrades, maintenance, and ongoing day-to-day system support.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, business leaders, and external vendors.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources principles, payroll processes, timekeeping, employee data, and HR system workflows.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and support both short-term needs and long-term system goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong customer-service mindset and the ability to work well across teams.

Computer Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SaaS or in-house HR system configuration required.
  • UKG Pro experience required.
  • UKG Workforce Management / Dimensions experience required.
  • iCIMS Applicant Tracking System experience strongly preferred.
  • Learning Management System experience preferred.
  • Cognos reporting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, lookups, and pivot tables, preferred.

Work Location Requirement

  • This position is based in the Denver, Colorado area and operates in a hybrid work environment.
  • The selected candidate must be able to work onsite in the Denver office 2 to 3 days per week.
