These jobs can include roles such as housekeepers, front desk attendants, servers, and maintenance staff at hotels and resorts. Employers hire H-2B workers when there are not enough American workers available for the positions. The visa is typically valid for a set period based on the employer’s needs, often up to one year. Workers must return home after their visa expires unless they receive an extension or another job offer under the program.
