Job description

The Gus Master leads guided Scandinavian sauna rituals for groups of up to 18 guests. This role sets the pace of the session, heat, steam, scent, sound, and cold exposure, and is responsible for guest safety, energy, and the overall experience

Lead guided sauna sessions for groups of up to 18 guests, controlling heat, steam (löyly), aromatics, and music to shape the ritual. Guide guests through the heat/cold/breath cycle while monitoring comfort and safety throughout. Read and manage group energy, keep guests engaged and create a shared experience among strangers. Follow safety protocols for heat exposure, hydration, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:
Outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable leading groups of strangers. Strong social awareness, able to read a room and adjust energy accordingly. Prior sauna, wellness, hospitality, or group facilitation experience a plus but not necessary and full training provided. most sessions are evening and weekend shifts, but also some during the day.

Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in sustained high-heat, humid environments. Able to lift and handle water buckets and sauna equipment.

Compensation: $20/hour plus potential tips. Sessions run 75 minutes; Gus Masters are scheduled and paid for a 2-hour block per session (covering prep and wrap-up in addition to hosting time), so one session pays $40 plus potential tips

We're building this from the ground up, and our early team will shape what it becomes as we grow toward additional locations.
