Remote
Our client seeks a Product Owner to guide Guidewire implementation decisions for personal lines within a large transformation program. The role requires deep knowledge of PolicyCenter or ClaimsCenter and strong translation of business requirements into Guidewire configuration. The Product Owner will partner with EY and Business Analysts to ensure configurations align with underwriting, rating, claims, and reporting workflows, support testing and deployment for upcoming releases, and reduce defects by aligning platform capabilities with operational needs.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70.00 to $75.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
  • Guide Guidewire configuration, process setup, and technical choices to align with personal lines business operations.
  • Translate business requirements into Guidewire-specific implementation guidance in partnership with Business Analysts.
  • Bridge EY's Guidewire expertise with our client's business context using existing process documentation.
  • Evaluate proposed technical solutions against underwriting, rating, claims, and reporting needs.
  • Clarify requirements, validate feasibility within platform constraints, and negotiate trade-offs.
  • Apply knowledge of Auto, Homeowners, Renters, Condo, and Personal Umbrella products to inform configuration.
  • Define and support UAT and EBT testing strategies that reflect real business workflows.
  • Participate in testing sign-offs and support deployment planning for scheduled releases.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter or ClaimsCenter experience including configuration, workflows, business rules, reporting, and integrations.
  • 5+ years in personal lines insurance with understanding of underwriting logic, rating processes, coverage structures, and claims workflows.
  • Proven ability to translate business workflows into Guidewire configuration and understand operational impacts.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with technical and business stakeholders.
