As Insurance Operations Manager you will play an instrumental role in exceeding our customersโ€™ expectations by creating a professional environment built on expertise, trust, and proven systems.
Responsibilities
  • Insurance Operations - Service & Underwriting
    • Life and Disability insurance applications
    • New & existing proposals and illustration requests
    • Oversee underwriting of new policies, tracking until completion, & keeping advisors informed on status updates
    • General service inquiries addressing and beneficiary changes
    • Data capture/entry
    • Billing support and processing
    • Client communication & reminders (phone & email)
    • Liaison between Northwestern Mutual home office/underwriting department, third-party providers, medical examiners and clients.
  • Meeting Follow-up and Workflow Management
  • Client Onboarding
  • Client Relations
  • Chair 2 โ€“ Case Notes and Coordinate Client Follow-up
  • Save records to Docket
  • Update Meeting Agendas
  • Client Concierge & Outreach โ€“ proactively reach out to clients re: website (access, utilization, account aggregation, etc.), mobile app, planning opportunities, gathering info, etc.

Qualifications
  • Outgoing and engaging
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team framework
  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong computer skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Projects a high-level of professionalism
  • Insurance licensed (Life & Health) preferred
  • Investment licensed (Series 7) preferred

Compensation & Benefits
  • $50,000 - 70,000 salary depending on experience
  • Medical Insurance (65% subsidized)
  • Dental Insurance available
  • Vision Insurance available
  • 401k plan (employer non-elective contribution of 3%)
  • Work from home on Fridays after 90 days of employment
  • Paid vacation & holidays
  • Discretionary yearly bonus
  • Licensing reimbursement plan
