You'll have... 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, or manufacturing logistics
  • Proven track record leading large-scale SAP EWM implementations (multiple plants or regions)
  • Experience deploying RFID or advanced labeling solutions in manufacturing or logistics environments
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and plant operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of GTL (Global Transport Label), AIAG standards, and global traceability frameworks
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IoT integrations, and warehouse automation technologies
  • PMP, APICS, or equivalent certifications

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300.     

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Intelligent Inventory Manager to lead the global transformation of inventory management capabilities across all manufacturing plants and supply networks. This role will drive the end-to-end deployment of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and scale intelligent labeling solutions (GTL & RFID) across Ford's global supply base.

This leader will be responsible for modernizing inventory visibility, enabling real-time traceability, and delivering a digitally connected supply chain aligned with Ford's digital and smart manufacturing strategy. Required Travel: Up to 50-75% of time flexibility for travel based on project execution status.

Key Responsibilities:

Global EWM Deployment Leadership

  • Lead the enterprise-wide rollout of SAP EWM across all Ford manufacturing and distribution facilities
  • Define and standardize global warehouse and inventory processes, including inbound, outbound, staging, and line-side delivery
  • Partner with IT, plant operations, and external integrators to design, test, and deploy scalable solutions
  • Drive adoption of automation, robotics, and advanced warehouse execution capabilities integrated with EWM

Intelligent Inventory & Traceability Strategy

  • Develop and implement a global intelligent inventory strategy leveraging GTL (Global Transport Label) and RFID technologies
  • Lead deployment of RFID-enabled tracking and GTL standardization across suppliers, logistics partners, and plants
  • Enable real-time inventory visibility and traceability from supplier to line-side
  • Establish standards for data accuracy, label compliance, and serialization

Global Supply Base Enablement

  • Partner with procurement and supplier development teams to deploy GTL & RFID across the global supplier network
  • Build supplier onboarding frameworks, training, and compliance mechanisms
  • Drive alignment with industry standards (e.g., AIAG, ISO) for labeling and traceability
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to labeling and digital tracking requirements

Digital Transformation & Analytics

  • Leverage advanced analytics, IoT, and digital twins to optimize inventory flows and reduce waste
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards for inventory accuracy, turns, dwell time, and line stoppage reduction
  • Identify and implement AI/ML-driven inventory optimization opportunities

Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional global programs involving Manufacturing, IT, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Logistics
  • Manage multi-region teams and external partners to deliver on-time, on-budget implementations
  • Provide executive-level reporting on program status, risks, and value realization

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Digital Roadmap: Lead the transition from manual/spreadsheet-based processes to automated, system-driven workflows.
  • Change Management: Act as the primary champion for organizational change, helping the workforce adapt to new technologies, processes, and performance expectations.
  • Lean Culture: Deploy Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate non-value-added steps in order processing, significantly reducing the administrative lead time of the fulfillment cycle.
