Job description

RDC is seeking a high-octane Senior Strategy Director. This is a unique opportunity to have a front row and direct hand in shaping the future trajectory of the company and is designed for someone who thrives on ambiguity and possesses the intellectual horsepower to navigate our most complex challenges.

You will sit at the intersection of our Consumer insights, Client success, Industry relationships, and the rapidly shifting AI landscape all occurring within the context of a dynamic marketplace.

What You'll Do:

  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted partner to the C-suite, translating data-heavy analysis into clear, narrative-driven recommendations
  • Defining the Vision: Synthesize signals from AI advancements, Market Trends, Competitor Landscape, and Core Business to define RDC's 3-year strategic vision.
  • Translating Strategy to Execution: Ensure ability to take a high-level executive vision and deconstruct it into prioritized, multi-quarter workstreams that teams can actually execute against
  • Driving Alignment: Design and lead prioritization and planning workshops that bring together cross-functional leaders to solve bottlenecks
  • Storyboarding & Deck Design: Advanced proficiency in creating professional-grade presentations that utilize "The Pyramid Principle" (Bottom-line-up-front)
  • Methodical Frameworks: Experience using structured frameworks (e.g., SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, Blue Ocean) to facilitate group thinking during live sessions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead high-priority "Special Projects" that span departments
  • Market & Competitor Intelligence: Synthesize market trends, competitor movements, technology advancements into actionable strategic pivots
  • AI Integration Strategy: Partner with Product and Engineering to identify how AI can be leveraged not just as a feature, but as a core operational multiplier across our Consumer, Client and Industry segments.

How We Work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You Bring:

Experience: 15+ years of experience, including significant time at a top-tier management consulting firm (MBB or equivalent).
The "Generalist" DNA: You are a quick study. You can talk API integrations with engineers in the morning and consumer psychology with marketing in the afternoon.
Strategic Rigor: You don't just find data; you find the story within the data. You excel at structured thinking and MECE problem-solving.
Bias for Action: You are tired of just making decks. You want to "get your hands dirty" and see your strategies through to implementation.
Tech Savvy: You have a deep curiosity about AI/ML and a vision for how these technologies disrupt traditional business models.

How We Reward You:

Realtor.com is committed to investing in the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families. Our benefits programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Inclusive and Competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage
  • Family forming benefits
  • 13 Paid Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time off
  • Immediate eligibility into Company 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement program for degreed and non-degreed programs
  • 1:1 personalized Financial Planning Sessions
  • Student Debt Retirement Savings Match program
  • Free snacks and refreshments in each office location
