GROUP ART SUPERVISOR, ART
Creative Department
Reports to:SVP, Group Creative Director
Job Summary
The Group Art Supervisor is a senior team member who oversees multiple brands or significant portions of a large account while mentoring and elevating art talent across teams. They demonstrate advanced conceptual thinking, strategic fluency, and deep brand expertise. The Group Art Supervisor plays a critical role in translating high-level creative direction into cohesive, strategically sound work across projects and channels.
They partner closely with Associate Creative Directors and Creative Directors to ensure creative excellence, operational efficiency, and team development. They are highly trusted in client interactions and regulatory environments and are looked to as a cultural and creative standard-bearer within the department.
Additionally, the Group Art Supervisor embodies the Calcium+Company values of commitment, integrity, and respect, both in their work and in their relationships with their co-workers and external clients.
Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
  • Serves as creative lead on one primary brand or multiple smaller brands/projects
  • Oversees and mentors Art Supervisors, Senior Art Directors, and Art Directors
  • Provides clear conceptual and visual direction aligned with brand strategy
  • Partners with copy counterparts to shape campaign platforms and integrated initiatives
  • Ensures consistency and quality across all deliverables within assigned brands
  • Reviews and approves work prior to senior leadership review and client presentation
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of scientific content and regulatory landscape, applying it strategically and creatively
  • Balances hands-on creative contribution with oversight responsibilities
  • Contributes meaningfully to new business pitches and internal initiatives
  • Helps forecast workload needs and flags resourcing challenges
  • Provides ongoing feedback, coaching, and career development guidance to team members
  • Maintains team morale and models a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
  • 6-8+ years of industry/agency experience
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects or brands simultaneously
  • Strong conceptual ability with strategic fluency
  • Advanced understanding of medical-regulatory-legal review processes
  • Strong internal and external presentation skills
  • Demonstrated mentorship and team development capabilities
  • Ability to evaluate work objectively, prioritizing overall brand and team success
  • Financial and scope awareness appropriate to brand-level ownership
