Job description

This position provides operational, supervisory, and administration support to the Parking and Ground Transportation system available at the Lehigh Valley Internation Airport.
Essential Functions
  • Supervise and oversee daily parking and ground transportation operations, including staffing coverage, scheduling, workflow coordination, and operational support to meet airport activity demands.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate parking attendants and customer service staff to ensure high levels of customer service, operational efficiency, professionalism, and compliance with Authority policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ground transportation companies conducting business with the Authority comply with all applicable Authority resolutions, rules, regulations, policies, and operating procedures for airports owned and/or operated by the Authority.
  • Follow and maintain parking and ground transportation policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines to support safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations.
  • Monitor and inspect parking facilities, garages, lots, booths, revenue control systems, signage, lighting, and related equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, operational readiness, proper functionality, and timely maintenance coordination.
  • Coordinate with airport operations, maintenance, security, vendors, and ground transportation providers regarding parking, transportation, and operational matters.
  • Assist customers with parking inquiries, payment issues, lost ticket concerns, complaints, and general airport information in a professional and timely manner.
  • Oversee cashiering functions including cash handling, credit card processing, monetary reconciliation, and computerized register operations. Perform ticket processing, resolve equipment and customer related transactions issues as necessary,
  • Work with the Manager and Assistant Manager to monitor and reconcile parking revenue activity including preparing accurate and timely operational, financial, incident, and administrative reports.
  • Maintain signage requirements, website information, and public-facing communications to ensure accurate and effective parking and ground transportation information.
  • Ensure compliance with airport safety procedures, cash handling standards, Authority personnel policies, departmental procedures, and affirmative action guidelines.
  • Assist with special events, irregular operations, snow events, emergency situations, and high-volume travel periods.
  • Promote a positive team environment and support LNAA's People & Culture initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in parking, aviation, or operational environment. Supervisory/Management preferred but not required.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, establishing priorities to carry projects through to timely completion and when necessary, meet emergency demands.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, work with limited direct supervision, be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to respond and perform in emergency situations and severe weather conditions.

Must- Have Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must report to work dressed appropriately, as defined in the employee handbook, and in accord with the position. Attire can be formal, traditional, or business casual attire.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license that meets insurance requirements.
  • Must be available to work split shifts, nights, weekends and holidays when required.
  • Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements
  • Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
  • Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 90 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and optional.
  • Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
