JOB SUMMARY

CCFSis seeking a dynamic Operations Supervisor to join our team oflogisticsprofessionals. As anOperationsSupervisor,you'llplay a pivotal leadership role in our daily operations, directly influencing our success byguidingour freighthandlers,ensuringefficientloading/unloading of freight, andupholdingcompany policies tomaintaina positive work culture.

Operation Supervisors are responsible forthe safety, quality, and productivity of assigned dock operations.You'llcoordinate with operationsleaderssystem-wide todetermineand implement line haul load patterns and schedules, and oversee unloading, staging, and loading procedures to minimize freight damage, maximize load quality and capacity, and promote on-time delivery.You'llalso ensure the safety of all equipment, fleet, and facilities - and correct deficiencies as they arise.We'relooking for someone who knows LTL freight from the ground up, takes ownership of their shift, and can develop a team while keeping freight moving safely and on time.


SHIFT: Monday-Friday, 3am start time

PAY: $80,000-$90,000/year Depends on Experience, Knowledge of the Transportation Industry


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Ensure that dock operations are performed safely and efficiently, overseeingandassistingwith the loading and unloading of freight

  • Develops dock door assignment, staging, and yard management plan to support operations in cooperation with the service center manager and other operations supervisors.

  • Supervisefreight handlers, oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions

  • Educate employees on company procedures and policies

  • Conducts weekly and/or daily meetings with shift personnel to discuss updates and address any issues

  • Coordinate with personnel tomaintainand repair companyequipment

  • Monitors misrouted and damaged shipments todetermineroot cause and implement corrective action.

  • Work with customers to resolve freight issues

  • Responsible foroverseeingthe quality handling of paperwork

  • Able to carry out the job duties of positions supervised to ensure customer service expectations are met

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Twoyears of LTLfreightexperience.

  • Two years ofsupervisoryexperience.

  • Forklift certification ordemonstratedproficiencyrequired

  • Yard truck/spotter experience preferred

  • Mustpossessexcellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry

  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations preferred

  • At least 21 years of age

This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.
