Job description

Job Summary
The position of Quality Assurance Coordinator is to verify the quality process to ensure a world class quality product is being installed on our customer's vehicles. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the IATF16949 work instructions, travelers and other documentation as required. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with all environmental, health & safety policies and procedures, current attendance program and disciplinary action program.
  • 2nd shift - Monday - Friday from 2:45pm - 10:45pm. Mandatory overtime as needed
  • $17.06/hr + 2nd shift premium of 5%

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with training production staff on work instructions and travelers. Work with supervisors to verify training effectiveness.
  • Communication of employee performance that can impact quality output.
  • Support customer concerns / corrective actions and warranty claims in a timely manner with the assistance of the Quality Supervisor / Quality Specialist / Division Quality Manager.
  • Maintain communication channels with Production Supervisor and Quality Supervisor to ensure First Time Quality is achieved while ensuring production build schedule is adhered too.
  • Completion of QA check-sheets, first off, and critical vehicle inspection points.
  • Provide end of shift quality reports.
  • Receiving inspection as required
  • Perform audits on products received, in process or finished to established quality requirements and document on appropriate check-sheets a minimum of 3 times per shift.
  • Ensure that all production hold units are address on shift, repaired as needed and work with Production and Quality Supervisor to keep units flowing in a timely manner
  • Ensure/Audit all work in process is properly tagged in accordance with procedures and instructions.
    • Ensure supplier non-conforming product is tagged, clearly identified and placed in the hold area. Emails sent to Production and Quality Supervisors as well as those in charge of plant purchasing.
  • Ensure OSHA and internal safe operating principles, policies and procedures are adhered to. Comply with provisions of the OSHA Regulations and Environmental Standards, and take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of all employees. Ensure awareness and compliance of the hazards present in the workplace.
    • Ensure compliance with the Environmental Management System.
  • Assist with G R&R, MSA, SPC and other studies as required

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Minimum Required: Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent is preferred.
    • Preferred: Additional education is considered an asset.
  • Experience
    • Minimum Required: One to three years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
    • Preferred: Previous quality experience is preferred.
  • Must be team oriented and have excellent communication, organizational, and some computer skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License
  • Preferred: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office considered an asset.

Working Conditions
The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
  • Manufacturing environment with training and auditing assignments.
  • Continuous exposure to weather elements, chemical, robotics, industrial manufacturing and automotive vehicles.
  • Must comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Must be present on the production floor providing support, training, direction and compliance to the quality process. Presence on production floor should be 95% of daily work time. Time off the floor will be directed by the Quality Supervisor.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
