Job description

Job Summary
The Division Quality Manager oversees the quality process to ensure a world class quality product is being installed on our customer's vehicles. They are responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of IATF:16949 facility process documentation, work instructions, process flow/PFMEA, control plans and audit plans.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of IATF16949 process documentation
    • Support development of work instructions, process flow/PFMEA, control plans all PPAP documentation and audit plans.
    • Complete monthly KPI's and reducing Cost of Quality.
    • Conduct internal audits for LPA's, IATF16949, etc.
  • Support supplier and customer concerns with Quality Specialist
    • Issue GIMS and SCARs through customer sites when directed by supplier, otherwise through the Ground Effects LTD/LLC's Quality Management System.
    • Navigate and assist with regular customer website maintenance.
    • Review responses to customer concerns / corrective actions and warranty claims before submittals are completed. Ensure all documents are logged into the CAR Software.
  • Support key dates and launch requirements at build plant as required.
    • Set up dates for assigned plant visits and provide follow up summary on plant performance or any concerns noted.
  • Manage customer specific programs.
    • Support customer driven quality activities including launch activities, Top Focus, Sunshine, etc.
    • Support of APQP process and act as Voice of the Customer (VOC)
    • Cost tracking for internal, external and supplier issues, and reported out monthly

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Minimum Required: Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
    • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering or related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience
    • Minimum Required: 1 to 3 years of TS16949 or IATF16949 experience
    • Preferred: 3 to 5 years management or leadership experience with an automotive manufacturing or military background
    • 3 or more years of experience with TS16949 or IATF 16949, Quality Audits, and Environmental Management System and OSHA Requirements
    • 3 or more years of experience with tier 1 level submission for PPAP for all quality documents
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License
  • Must be willing to travel as required with short notice, if applicable
  • Must have knowledge of TS16949 or IATF 16949
  • Must be familiar with MS Office
  • Preferred: Familiar with IATF:16949, Environmental Management System and OSHA Requirements
  • Knowledge of and experience with the APQP process including FMEA and Control Plan development.
  • Must have knowledge of and experience with PPAP submissions.
  • Able to identify quality issues relating to work instructions and quality processes.
  • Advanced computer, communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be team oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
  • Office setting in manufacturing environment with managerial assignments.
  • Limited exposure to weather elements, chemical, robotics, industrial manufacturing and automotive vehicles.
  • Must comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
