How you will make an impact

The Senior Manager, Revenue & Gross-to-Net ("GTN") Accounting is a highly visible finance role responsible for complex revenue accounting, GTN analysis, project accounting, billing, accounts receivable, and revenue forecasting support for the Company's proprietary and partnered products. This role offers an experienced accounting professional the opportunity to apply technical expertise, commercial judgment, and cross-functional leadership to support accurate reporting, informed decision-making, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.

This role can be based in either our San Diego, CA office or Ewing, NJ office

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Perform revenue and gross-to-net accounting close activities for partnered commercial products and related revenue streams.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of product revenue, accounts receivable, distributor activity, and gross-to-net reserves.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, reserve calculations, and supporting analyses.
  • Manage partner pricing reconciliations, invoicing, project accounting, billing, and related accounts receivable activities.
  • Evaluate revenue contracts and commercial arrangements for compliance with ASC 606.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support revenue analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions.
  • Drive process, system, and control improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Support audits and reviews with high-quality documentation and timely responses.
  • Maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and SOX controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA or CMA required (active certification preferred).
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive finance and technical accounting experience, including public accounting and/or public company experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or healthcare gross-to-net accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience working with third-party logistics and managed-care service providers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, gross-to-net accounting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and business partnership skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical accounting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High degree of accuracy, accountability, professional judgment, and attention to detail.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $150K - $175K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
