Walther Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join our production team in Fort Smith, AR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our commitment to precision, safety, and quality in every product we manufacture.Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functionPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesPrepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specificationsSet machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of partsSupervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultInspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience as CNC operatorSkill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsComputer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAMMechanical aptitude and good math skillsA keen eye for detail and results-driven approachGood communication abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plusAs part of our hiring process, Walther Manufacturing requires all candidates to undergo a background check and drug screening.
