Greenleaf Psychotherapy LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. As a remote community health clinic, our work environment is designed to facilitate flexibility and responsiveness. We operate seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing our mental health counselors to have a balanced work-life schedule while being readily available to clients, fostering greater accessibility to mental health services.

In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities aimed at fostering client growth and resilience:

• Conduct thorough assessments on clients to develop personalized therapy strategies that resonate with their specific needs and challenges.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups effectively utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while safeguarding client information.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaborate effectively on client care, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to remain abreast of the latest mental health research and best practices.

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Possess valid and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
• Demonstrate a minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling settings, showcasing your commitment to patient care.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport building with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Show proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies to facilitate efficient documentation and client tracking.

While not mandatory, the following experience will enhance your candidacy:

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
• A substantial understanding of ethical and legal considerations in mental health practice.
• Proven ability to work within a healthcare team, collaborating effectively with varied professionals to deliver holistic care.
