Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and establish appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences and adopt effective coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate actively with other team members to ensure holistic care and to coordinate interventions that address the diverse needs of patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients facing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and the importance of available local resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals affected by trauma, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By employing a trauma-informed approach, you will be equipped to address the unique and varied needs of our patients, utilizing therapeutic techniques that foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related conditions and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
