Graveyard Floor Supervisor

Position: Graveyard Floor Supervisor
Location: The George Sportsmen's Lounge
Department: Front of House Operations
Reports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager / Director of Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Graveyard Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing late-night front of house operations at The George Sportsmenโ€™s Lounge, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, team accountability, and adherence to company standards during overnight business hours. This leadership role supports bartenders, cocktail servers, hosts, bussers, food runners, and security coordination while maintaining a high-energy, guest-focused atmosphere in a fast-paced sports lounge environment.

The ideal candidate is highly visible on the floor, thrives in a nightlife-driven environment, demonstrates strong leadership under pressure, and is comfortable managing operations during high-volume late-night service periods and special events.

Schedule Expectations
  • Scheduled start times will generally range between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM depending on:

    • Day of the week

    • Business volume

    • Sporting events

    • Special events and activations

  • Position requires availability on:

    • Nights

    • Weekends

    • Holidays

    • Event-driven schedules

  • Shifts may extend into early morning hours based on operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise all front of house operations during graveyard and late-night shifts.

  • Lead and support FOH team members to ensure service standards are maintained at all times.

  • Monitor guest experience and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

  • Assist with floor coverage, service flow, staffing adjustments, and operational execution during high-volume periods.

  • Conduct floor walks to ensure cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and compliance with venue standards.

  • Monitor labor efficiency and communicate staffing needs to management.

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Alcohol service policies

    • Health and safety standards

    • Cash handling procedures

    • Company policies and operational procedures

  • Coordinate with security personnel regarding guest issues, crowd management, and incident response.

  • Support opening and closing procedures, nightly reporting, side work completion, and shift transitions.

  • Maintain strong communication with kitchen leadership and bar teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance and professionalism.

  • Assist management with incident documentation and operational follow-up as needed.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Requires extended periods of standing and walking throughout the duration of shifts, often exceeding 8 hours.

  • Must be able to move quickly and safely through crowded restaurant and bar environments.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and navigating stairs or elevated areas may be required.

  • Position routinely operates in:

    • Loud environments

    • Dim lighting

    • Crowded guest areas

    • Fast-paced nightlife atmospheres

  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying indoor and patio temperatures, including outdoor weather conditions when supporting patio operations or event spaces.

Qualifications
