Job description

Graphics Traffic Supervisor

The Graphics Traffic Supervisor oversees the Graphics Traffic team. The Graphics Traffic Supervisor will take a high level view of the Traffic process and production while collaborating with and providing direction to the Graphics Traffic team. Prioritize and process creative job requests, schedule project kickoff meetings, work with project requesters, and follow up with key stakeholders. Coordinate and oversee the creative workflow software (Lytho) maintenance, while regularly evaluating processes and making recommendations for efficiencies.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the staffing (hiring and dismissing), training, evaluating, coaching, and goal setting for the Graphics Traffic team.

Coordinate, prioritize and process all graphic designer project requests.

Set project dates, build proofing schedules, compile status updates and keep stakeholders on task.

Work closely with the Marketing Operations and Digital Marketing teams to maintain project flow and proactively address concerns and capitalize on opportunities.

Coordinate the workflow of graphic artists to ensure deadlines are met.

Maintain list of current projects that includes project status and deadlines.

Schedule project kickoff meetings, work with project requesters, and follow up with key stakeholders.

Proof/edit all publications created by the department.

Coordinate and manage the Marketing Brief process.

Coordinate and oversee creative workflow software (Lytho) maintenance.

Negotiate bids with outside printers for all publications.

Coordinate flyer and material distribution.

Contact outside vendors to acquire artwork and information for publications.

Conduct weekly departmental production meetings.

Serve as a liaison between the Creative Services and Marketing team and other departmental stakeholders.

Troubleshoot systems, procedures, and workflow to ensure deadlines are met.

Make recommendations to increase the effectiveness of our current systems and workflow.

Assist with special department projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two or more years' experience in an advertising agency or related experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask and keep track of many projects and deadlines at the same time

Advanced proofing skills and excellent attention to detail

Ability to set and manage strict deadlines to keep jobs on track

Knowledge of publication printing, Mac platform software, and art files

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively and work in a team environment

Ability to understand and interpret rules and processes, and be willing to hold accountability standards across departments

Ability to function in a solutions-oriented environment, meeting both internal and external client expectations

Present a professional company image and positive attitude

Desired:

Knowledge and previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Pre-press procedures

Knowledge of sheet fed, web, and double-web printing techniques

A strong Print or Marketing background
