Consulting Engineering Firm seeking to fill a Traffic Engineer / Planner position in its Columbus, OH office.
Job Description
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Transportation system planning to include development of thoroughfare plans as components of municipal comprehensive plans.
Preparation of traffic impact studies and site access evaluations in accordance with guidelines established by municipalities and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Traffic engineering analysis and simulation including use of traffic engineering software programs such as Synchro and HCS.
Preparation of report graphics and creation of concept plans of roadway systems using Microstation.
Assist Senior Manager with the preparation of project scope of services and related budgets.
Assign and supervise data collection duties by technicians.
Perform field reconnaissance and data collection for analysis purposes.
Report preparation and technical writing including correspondence with clients.
Provide communication with clients regarding data and issues relevant to projects.
Review work performed by other members for quality assurance.
Comply with ISO procedures as identified in the Quality System Manual
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related
2+ years of experience
P.E. license (preferred)
excellent communication and organizational skills
