Our company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to support our highly technical engineering teams worldwide. The technical writer will be responsible for creating clear and comprehensive design and test documentation for our cloud, hybrid, and private IT systems. The candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enabling them to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documents. It is essential that the candidate is a US citizen and is able to obtain and maintain a US federal government Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
As a technical / proposal writer in the Proposal Center of Excellence, and within the broader marketing and communications function, you will develop complex proposals for government and commercial clients. Successful proposals are what win the work that M.C. Dean performs, which means that you will be at the forefront of determining the company's future growth and direction. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Write, edit, and proofread proposal materials in response to client requests and requirements while meeting established schedules and deadlines
  • Learn the Federal procurement and contracting process
  • Work to develop solutions to the challenges and requirements of some of the largest businesses, organizations, and Federal agencies in the world.
  • Create strategies for addressing business challenges and opportunities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across a range of specialized business units to research and document proposal details and to create winning responses while learning first-hand how work is performed
  • Conceptualize graphics, figures, tables, and other presentation techniques to optimize impact of information provided

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • 0+ years' relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and write about complex subject matter
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, handling multiple simultaneous projects with stringent deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people with a variety of skills, experience, and personalities

DESIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in:
  • English/Literature or similar
  • Politic Science or similar
  • Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or similar

Involvement with:
  • Student newspapers or other publications
  • Research journals
