Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
This position provides live technical support for Faculty Senate meetings and assists with broader Senate-related administrative and digital tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsive to email, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a professional academic setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time technical support during monthly Faculty Senate meetings (Fridays, 1:00-4:00 PM)
- Set up and manage Zoom and Yuja platforms for virtual/hybrid meetings
- Assist with screen sharing, session recording, and troubleshooting any immediate technical issues
- Manage Al-based assistant tools as needed during meetings
- Support faculty presenters with launching and navigating PowerPoint or other visual materials
- Assist in the collection and management of votes using Qualtrics or similar tools
- Ensure seamless operation of all digital platforms before, during, and after meetings
- Organize and maintain Faculty Senate materials on SharePoint and Canvas
- Improve design of a user-friendly SharePoint site for accessibility and usability of Senate documents and resources
- Support other Senate-related administrative or technology tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment as a graduate student during the 2026-2027 academic year
- Availability for:
- All in-person Faculty Senate meetings (Fridays, 1:00-4:00 PM, once per month)
- Weekly meetings and check-in consultations as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Yuja (video capture and content management)
- Experience with Al-powered tools (e.g., real-time transcription or note-taking applications)
- Experience using SharePoint for organizing and sharing materials
Special Instructions to Applicants
Demonstrated Proficiency With:
- Zoom (meeting setup, screen sharing, breakout rooms, and recording)
- Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint

- Qualtrics (survey creation and response management)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
