Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SBH) invites oncampus and online students to join a respected provider of Integrated Behavioral Health Services. This is your opportunity to gain handson experience across our statewide locations. SBH offers unpaid internships for students whose academic programs require them during the spring, summer, and fall terms. Under the supervision of licensed professionals, you will develop practical skills and knowledge in a multidisciplinary environment. This valuable experience will empower you to contribute effectively in your workplace and local network.

Eligibility & Expectations

  • Internship must be required by your degree program and eligible for academic credit
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Adhere to SBHโ€™s work schedules, policies, and professional conduct standards
  • Independently manage your academic responsibilities
  • Follow direction from your SBH supervisor
  • Attend required SBH training sessions (typically 1โ€“2 weeks during business hours, depending on placements)

Clearance Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old (some roles require a minimum of 21)
  • Must pass a drug test and complete other onboarding steps
  • Must have or obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card (cost borne by the intern)
  • Some placements may require physical and TB testing
