Job Description:ย 

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager in its Norfolk VA location. The Program Manager will lead and directs experienced project managers in the execution of all phases of a portfolio of projects and leads communication regarding items covered by the portfolio both internally and externally. As such, this program management role provides direction and leads specific contracts and internal programs of the company and takes a lead role in the execution of a portfolio of projects as defined by their senior manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the execution of all phases of a program or portfolio of programs from inception through completion.
  • Accomplishes program objectives by supporting the planning and assisting with the evaluation of program activities such as project execution and leading weekly IPT meetings.
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Expand the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and identifies and implements solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of program managers, project managers and other employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
  • Interact with all core team members including quality, supply chain management, program controls and contracts.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Requires management and leadership experience in sustainment / Integrated Logistics Support.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management systems (EVMS)
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience and/or strong directly relevant sustainment experience of proven performance with DoD or USN customer
  • Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance
