Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate to join our Transportation team in a new position based in Pickering, Ontario.  

This is a new position expected to start in May 2027. 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working within the (Highway) Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
  • Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
  • Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners
  • Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
  • Following corporate quality procedures
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads/ OpenRoads, InfraWorks)
  • Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
