D.H. Griffin Infrastructure, LLC., is a heavy civil construction company, offering services in site grading and development, specialty concrete, as well as underground utilities and systems. We are accepting applications for Junior Estimator in Raleigh, NC.
Job Description
The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects. This role assists with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor and supplier pricing, bid preparation, and project documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a strong foundation in heavy civil construction estimating.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects
  • Communicate effectively with Chef Estimator and Client Representatives
  • Preform quantity takeoffs
  • Build and maintain bid leveling sheets
  • Ability to occasionally travel to certain jobsites (both current and prospective)

Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years of experience of estimating experience in either the construction or civil Sitework Grading space.
  • Experience with heavy civil construction projects preferred that include complexities (I.E. Confined Space trenching & excavation, tight project timelines, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Preferred technology experience: HCSS Heavy Bid, Building Connected, Excel basics (Microsoft Suite), Blue Beam, PlanSwift.
  • Ability to read plans/construction drawings and do take-off.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.
