Job description

General Production Operator (GPO) - Machine Shop
LOCATION: Akron, OH, USA
Shifts:
  • Friday-Saturday days: 5am-5pm

Job Summary:
General Production Operators (GPOs) at Arielsupport manufacturing by using manual machines and hand grinders. They areresponsible for finishing and testing high-precision parts that we use tomanufacture the world's best compressors. Quality checks are performed on everypart using precision measuring equipment to ensure the integrity of ourproduct. Production schedules work off of a dispatch list using SAP.
Most GPOs work individually in an assigned workcenter; however, some work centers are team oriented. The type of work centeryou are assigned to depends on the size and type of part you are machining. AtAriel, there are many opportunities within the Machine Shop. Candidates with adesire for career growth and an eagerness to continuously develop their skillsand abilities are the best fit for this open position.

Job Responsibilities / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Attention to detail
  • Quality mindset
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment (overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.)
  • Manufacturing and/or mechanical experience
  • Experience using hand grinders or similar tools
