Job description

TRIAEM is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Senior Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility program within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) environment. This is a strategic engineering role supporting some of the Intelligence Community's most critical GEOINT systems and modernization initiatives across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agency partners.
We are looking for senior engineers who can lead across complex enterprise environments, mentor technical teams, and help shape mission solutions that directly impact national security operations. If you have deep systems engineering experience within the IC or DoD space and enjoy solving enterprise-level integration and architecture challenges, TRIAEM wants to hear from you.
Location: Springfield or Chantilly, VA
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI (Polygraph eligibility required)
What You'll Do
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will guide technical teams and support government leadership in the planning, design, integration, and evolution of enterprise GEOINT systems and capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and mentoring Mid-Level and Junior Systems Engineers across systems engineering and integration activities
  • Guiding requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, resiliency, reliability, integration, testing, maintainability, and system analysis efforts
  • Supporting mission and customer requirement translation into technical capabilities and system solutions
  • Performing requirements analysis, traceability, and allocation across architectures and programs
  • Supporting cloud service evaluations, workflow analysis, and scheduling optimization
  • Developing solution designs and engineering approaches based on mission needs and emerging technologies
  • Conducting systems integration activities across multiple organizations, systems, and agencies
  • Leading or supporting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments
  • Assisting government stakeholders with strategic technical planning, project management support, risk management, interface design, and performance engineering
  • Operating across complex Major Systems Acquisition environments involving multiple systems, services, interfaces, and mission partners

What We're Looking For
TRIAEM is seeking senior technical leaders who can operate independently, communicate effectively with government stakeholders, and drive engineering efforts across highly integrated enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific discipline including:
    • Engineering
    • Physics
    • Mathematics
    • Operations Research
    • Engineering Management
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Management Information Systems
    • Related STEM field

    Additional experience may substitute for education:
    • 4 additional years with no degree
    • 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree
  • 12+ years of experience supporting government or industry programs in areas such as:
    • DoD/IC Acquisition Processes
    • Requirements Engineering
    • PPBES Processes
    • Systems Engineering within large, complex System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments
    • Cloud, hybrid, or on-premise enterprise infrastructures
  • Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program experience
  • Previous Intelligence Community or DoD program experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph
