This full-time hybrid opportunity is designed for a highly organized professional who excels at maintaining information accuracy, managing records throughout their lifecycle, and supporting legal professionals with exceptional service and attention to detail. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting Information Governance operations by overseeing physical and electronic records, maintaining information integrity, coordinating records retention activities, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and established legal records management standards. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive mindset capable of managing multiple priorities within a collaborative legal environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the complete lifecycle of legal and administrative records from creation through retention and final disposition.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of physical files, storage containers, barcodes, and offsite storage locations.
  • Process attorney, legal staff, and administrative requests for file retrieval, transfers, indexing, and record updates.
  • Organize, classify, and maintain client and firm records according to established information governance standards.
  • Support records retention schedules, disposition activities, and secure destruction processes while maintaining compliance requirements.
  • Perform quality reviews to ensure records are accurately indexed, labeled, documented, and stored.
  • Generate activity reports, inventory metrics, and records management documentation for leadership review.
  • Assist with onboarding and training office personnel regarding records management procedures and information governance best practices.
  • Collaborate with Information Governance leadership to improve operational workflows and records management efficiency.
  • Support special projects involving records migration, digitization, auditing, and information management initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client and firm information.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience within a legal, administrative, records management, information governance, or professional services environment.
