Description

A Gopher Product Marketer is responsible building desirable, profitable, high-quality, unique and comprehensive product assortments that create excitement and fulfill our institutional customer’s needs.


This is a full time, in-person position in Owatonna, MN.


What will you be doing?

· New Products: Identify and launch targeted new products which meet our high standards for sales, profitability, incremental contribution, quality, appearance and inventory efficiency.

· Proprietary Products: Work directly with the internal Product Development Team to define the vision for new products, providing direction from idea to completion.

· Product Presentations: Ensure superior product presentations across all channels for both new introductions and the existing assortment.

· Pricing: Execute pricing strategies to achieve targeted market positioning and margin requirements.

· Product Assortment: Manage the product assortment within assigned categories throughout the product life cycle.

Requirements:

1. 4-year degree in business administration, marketing, or related field from an accredited university/college.

2. Minimum 4 years success in a merchandising or sales & marketing role.

3. Minimum 4 years experience managing vendor relationships.

4. Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating System.

5. A lifestyle or educational background that is aligned with the company’s vision: “To help young and old live more active, more satisfying, and healthier lives through physical education, recreation, and sports”

6. Experience or knowledge of the physical education, sports, or fitness market preferred.
