Who are you?

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of workplace, real estate, and capital projects within a leading financial services environment.

Reporting to the Project Delivery leadership team, you will play a key role in managing complex projects from initiation through close-out, ensuring delivery excellence across scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder expectations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong project leadership, exceptional organization, and the ability to navigate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

As a trusted project leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, maintain governance standards, manage project risks, and measure value realization. Your ability to align project outcomes with business objectives while delivering an exceptional end-user experience will be critical to success.

You will support projects within ATB Financial's People Places & Spaces (PP&S) team, the group responsible for real estate strategy, workplace experience, design, construction, facilities management, and the ongoing transformation of both corporate and client-facing environments across Alberta.

Leveraging Turner & Townsend's industry-leading project controls, governance practices, and delivery expertise, you will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with organizational priorities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead complex projects through the full project lifecycle, from planning and initiation through execution, launch, and close-out, ensuring successful delivery against established objectives.
  • Scope, Schedule & Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring projects remain aligned with approved parameters.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Provide clear, timely, and consistent communication to project stakeholders, including project status, risks, key decisions, milestones, and change impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with business units, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure coordinated execution and successful project outcomes.
  • Project Governance & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs, status reports, decision registers, and close-out records.
  • Risk & Project Health Management: Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies while developing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Value Realization & Reporting: Track and report on project outcomes, benefits, and value realization, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Evaluate project impacts on people, processes, and operations, supporting smooth implementation and successful transition management.
  • Project Close-Out: Lead project handover and close-out activities, ensuring all deliverables are completed, documented, and transitioned effectively to operational stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated success delivering complex projects from initiation through close-out. Previous experience managing end-to-end projects within the construction, real estate, workplace, or capital projects environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
    • PMP certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience with Smartsheet or comparable project management platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Workspace (or similar productivity tools) and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage competing stakeholder interests, and drive projects to successful outcomes.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in project reporting, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
